# 604 So Thankful for my husband, he will sit for hours in the hot sun to fix something that is important to me! (the pool pump!)

I've been writing down my gifts since July 2011 in a journal.  Now have begun to post some on my Many Blessings Blog!

We celebrated Mike's birthday (49) and Mother's day on May 12th.  Made my first ice cream cake.  We had a beautiful day!
 Some of my Spring Blooms!
Roses, Evening Primrose "Meadow" and Peonys!
Lovely!

This lovely quilt is from my class this year! 2011-2012 My room mothers Gretchen and Julie made it.  So Sweet!  This is my 19th year teaching Kindergarten.!   Amazing! This is a special class.  I have really enjoyed my year with these little darlings!

It's time to plant our spring garden!  Beans, beets, squash, broccoli, carrots, lettuce of different sorts and sugar snap peas.  I have some tomato plants and herbs in pots.  Still plan on planting some pumpkins, sunflowers!  Hopefully the little critters will stay out due to this fencing material.

The soil consists of a layer of pine mulch, some compost and some organic Miracle Grow brand soil from home depot.  I will be fertilizing with an organic fertilizer (Miracle Grow brand).   Can't wait to see what happens!

Happy New Year!  2012
I have not posted since the summer of 2011.  I've been busy reading and with life in general.  I hope to be more consistent this year because I have so many blessings to be thankful for.

Summer set lip to earth's bosom bare, And left the flushed print in a poppy there. ~Francis Thompson, "The Poppy," 1891

Poppy
I love the way the seed pod of the poppy looks like an eye lash as it blooms. Look at the bottom of the poppy above. These actually bloom in the spring in MD. I had some technical difficulties and had to change my browser to Google Chrome (thanks to my Dad) so that I could publish my blog posts. Now I can catch up on posts that I have wanted to publish!
